1oz .999 Fine Copper Morgan Dollar Collectors Ounce Bullion ROUND USA

These beautiful copper rounds depict the world renowned U.S Morgan Dollar. The Morgan dollar is a United States dollar coin minted from 1878 to 1904, in 1921, and beginning again in 2021. It was the first standard silver dollar minted since the passage of the Coinage Act of 1873, which ended the free coining of silver and the production of the previous design, the Seated Liberty dollar.

In the early 1960s, a very large quantity of uncirculated Morgan dollars in their original bags were discovered in the Treasury vaults, including issues once thought rare. Individuals began purchasing large quantities of the pieces at face value and then removed them from circulation through hoarding, and eventually the Treasury stopped exchanging silver certificates for silver coin.

The most valuable Morgan dollar is thought to be the "1883-O Morgan Branch Mint Cameo" The New Orleans mint struck it for a historical reason, to celebrate the cotton industry and honoured the opening of Tulane University in Louisiana, and was meant to remain a proof coin, and to be kept separate from circulated coins. Only 12 pieces were available, and its value is thought to be in the region of $270,000 USD!

Fine Copper used to be a dubious contender when it came to investment portfolios, but with snowballing popularity and the ease of building portfolios rapidly, Fine Copper shows no signs of slowing down in todays market.
